PDF/A is the format offices and archives ask for because it is designed to look the same for decades. This tool prepares a PDF for PDF/A on your device: it embeds an sRGB colour profile (an output intent), writes PDF/A identification into the metadata, sets the title, and removes encryption. Being honest: full certified PDF/A also requires every font to be embedded and certain features avoided — that is a server-class job, so treat this as solid preparation, not a guaranteed pass of a strict validator.
How it works

Frequently asked questions
Is the result guaranteed valid PDF/A?
Not guaranteed. It adds the key pieces (sRGB output intent, PDF/A metadata, no encryption). If the source has non-embedded fonts or restricted features, a strict validator may still flag it — that needs a server-side converter.
Does it change how it looks?
No — the pages are unchanged; it adds archival colour and metadata.
Your files stay on your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. After the page has loaded, nothing about your document is sent to a server — no upload, no account, no watermark.
