Margins give a document room to breathe — for a binder edge, a printer’s no-print border, or space to write notes. This tool adds an even margin on all four sides. You can grow the page (the sheet gets bigger, your content keeps its size) or shrink the content (the page stays the same size and your content scales down to leave the margin).
How it works
- Choose the PDF.
- Pick a margin size, in millimetres or points.
- Choose grow the page or shrink the content.
- Click Add margins and download.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between grow and shrink?
Grow enlarges the sheet and keeps your content at its current size, so the margin is added outside. Shrink keeps the sheet size and scales the content down so the margin appears inside.
Does it change proportions?
No. Content is never distorted — grow adds space, shrink scales evenly.
